Expert Tips
Corner strategy: Keep your highest tile in one corner and build a chain of descending values leading out from it.
Don't swipe up: Avoid swiping in the direction that moves your highest tile away from its corner — it breaks your chain.
Plan two moves ahead: Before each swipe, visualise where the tiles will land and whether a new tile in a bad spot will block you.

Goal

Merge numbered tiles on a 4×4 grid until you create a tile with the value 2048 — then keep going for the highest possible score.

Rules

  • Swipe or use arrow keys to slide all tiles simultaneously.
  • Two tiles with the same value merge into one when they collide.
  • A new tile (2 or 4) appears after every move.
  • The game ends when the board is full and no merges are possible.

Scoring

Your score is the sum of all merged tile values throughout the game. Merging two 64-tiles gives you 128 points for that merge.
