Goal

Tap the five letters in order to make a word that uses all of them. Any real word counts — from T A S T E you can make STATE or TASTE. Solve as many as you can in 60 seconds.

How to play

• Tap a placed letter to take it (and the ones after it) back. Shuffle mixes the letters for a fresh look.
• A spelling that isn't a word costs half a second. Skip shows the answer and moves on.
• 3 words at a level move you up; 2 skips in a row move you down. Levels 1–2 give the first letter; later levels use rarer words, and levels 7–8 give 12 and then 8 seconds a word.

Scoring

A word earns 4 + 2 × the level, plus 1 for every 3 in a row (up to +3).

Rearranging letters until a word "clicks" exercises the fast word-finding we use in every conversation — the tip-of-the-tongue skill.
