Goal

Watch a sequence of cells light up one by one, then tap them back in the exact same order.

Rounds

Each round adds one more step to the sequence, up to 8. Two mistakes in a round and the rest of the sequence replays as a hint from your last correct tap.

Scoring

Each correct tap earns points equal to the sequence length (3 in round 1, up to 8). A wrong tap costs 5 points and 1.5 seconds. Finish rounds with no mistakes to build a streak.

Tips

• Narrate the positions silently as they light up to create a verbal memory trace.
• Chunk pairs of cells together rather than remembering each one individually.
• Stay calm during the reveal — tension makes recall harder.

Sequential Working Memory

Holding and recalling an ordered list of positions is one of the purest tests of working memory — the mental scratchpad used for reading, maths, and problem-solving.

Attention Span

You must maintain focus throughout the entire reveal phase without losing track — training sustained attention.

Repeating the game builds stronger memory traces over time, demonstrating how deliberate practice reshapes neural pathways.
