Expert Tips
Name the colours: Silently say each colour as it flashes — verbal labelling locks sequences into memory far better than visual watching alone.
Use position: Each tile has a fixed spot. "Top-left, centre, bottom-right" is easier to hold than colour names alone.
Stay calm on a miss: Sequence resets to 3 — use the easy rounds to rebuild speed and rhythm before pushing for longer streaks.

GOAL

Watch the coloured tiles flash in a sequence, then tap them back in the same order. Complete as many sequences as you can in 60 seconds.

RULES

  • The sequence starts at length 3 and grows by 1 with each correct repeat.
  • A wrong tap resets the sequence back to length 3.
  • Progress dots below the grid show how far through the sequence you are.
  • Tiles flash faster as the sequence grows longer.

SCORING

Each correct sequence = sequence length × 50 pts. Longer sequences score more — push for higher streaks.

Why this sharpens your mind

SEQUENCE MEMORY

Holding and updating a growing sequence in working memory is one of the most demanding cognitive tasks. It trains the same circuits used in language processing, maths, and multi-step reasoning.
