How to Play
keyboard_arrow_down
1. A stream of targets appears — tap only the ones matching the current rule.
2. Resist tapping forbidden targets, even when they flash temptingly.
3. Wrong taps cost points — accuracy and speed both count.

Expert Tips
Read first: The rule changes each round — take one beat to read it before targets appear.
Stay calm: Anxiety triggers the impulse reflex. A steady breath before each round is worth more than raw speed.

Don't Tap

Goal

Danger cells are briefly highlighted — memorise them. Then they hide. Click every safe cell without tapping a danger zone.

Progression

The number of danger cells increases each round, demanding more memory capacity.

Tips

  • Group the danger cells by position (corners, middle row) rather than treating each as separate.
  • Take a full breath during the reveal phase — rushing the encoding costs you more time in recall.
  • If unsure, work from the edges inward where danger cells are less common.

Why this sharpens your mind

Inhibitory Control

Actively suppressing the urge to tap highlighted cells directly trains the prefrontal cortex — the brain region responsible for self-control and impulse management.

Spatial Memory

Remembering where not to click is as cognitively demanding as remembering where to click, exercising spatial working memory differently.

Working Memory Capacity

Holding an increasing number of forbidden locations in mind pushes the limits of your working memory, gradually expanding its capacity through challenge.
