Expert Tips
Read the whole phrase first: Scanning left to right lets your brain pattern-match against the stored original before you consciously analyse it.
The odd word jumps out: If a word makes you pause mid-read, that's your first swap. The second is usually near the start or end of the phrase.
Wrong guess costs −5: If you're genuinely stuck, tapping one word and looking at its context often confirms whether it belongs there.

SEMANTIC MEMORY

Detecting word-order violations in memorised phrases exercises semantic memory — the same system that stores language, facts, and cultural knowledge. Repeated exposure to correcting errors strengthens retrieval pathways used in reading comprehension and verbal reasoning.
