Goal

A gold bead hops round the dial, one dot per beat. Every so often it jumps two dots. Tap anywhere inside the dial as soon as it does — you don't need to hit a particular dot. Most beats need nothing — the skill is staying locked on for when one comes.

How it works

  • You have about a second after a skip to tap. A tap at any other moment is a false tap.
  • Catch 3 skips in a row to move up a level; 2 mistakes in a row (a skip missed or a false tap) move you down.
  • Higher levels beat faster and skip more rarely. From level 4 the bead sometimes pauses for a beat — that's not a skip. From level 6 the dial has more dots, so a skip is a smaller jump. From level 8 there are two dials: tap inside the one that skipped. Taps outside a dial are ignored.
  • It's silent on purpose — you play with your eyes, sound on or off.

Scoring

A skip caught earns 4 + twice the level, plus up to 3 for speed, plus 1 for every 3 caught in a row (up to +3). A false tap costs 3 + the level. A missed skip costs 2.

Why this sharpens your mind

Sustained Attention

Staying alert for rare, easy-to-miss events is vigilance — the focus that fades while reading, in a long meeting or on a long drive. This is the classic way it's measured, as a game.

Catching the Drift

When your mind wanders, a skip slips by. Each game trains you to notice the drift and pull your attention back — the core of staying focused.
