Goal

Turn the word into the Goal word, one letter at a time — every step must be a real word (STONE → STORE → SHORE). Tap a letter of the word, then a key to change it. Each ladder has a par, the fewest steps it can be done in, always with everyday words.

How to play

• A step that isn't a word costs half a second. Undo goes back a step.
• Hint lights the letter to change and the key to press — it counts as a step. On levels 1–6 the letter to change glows by itself if you're stuck for 10 seconds.
• 2 ladders at par move you up; 2 skips in a row move you down. Par grows from 2 to 6.

Scoring

A ladder earns 10 + 5 × par, minus 3 for each step over par (never under 5).
